MOORE — Doc Crawford’s Water Experiments, Take the Plunge is 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Earlywine Park YMCA, 11801 S. May Ave., Oklahoma City.
The set for Steve Crawford’s magical program involves an 1800’s wagon, wooden barrels, crates, signs that read “Water Experiments” and “Cure-All Elixir.” Western music plays and Doc Crawford, a western-days medicine man wearing a sharp coat and top-hat enters. The magical event is free and for the whole family, sponsored by Pioneer Library System.
The comedy and magic show includes acts where water is poured into a volunteer and pumped out of his elbow, a glass of water floats in the air. Crawford’s water is poured from a tiny glass into several large glasses and a 10 foot pole is pulled from a 12 inch case for a youngster to hold as a lightning rod.
Finally, Crawford uses his magic water sticks to successfully find a bottle of water that has been hidden by the audience.
