The City of Oklahoma City expects bids for construction for the new Southwest Oklahoma City Library to be publicized in February with bid awards announced in late March or early April.
The new library will be on the campus of the Moore Norman Technology Center South Penn Campus at 134th Street and S. Pennsylvania Avenue and will be operated by the Pioneer Library System.
"The Pioneer Library System is very excited about providing library services to South Oklahoma City," said Lisa Wells, Cleveland County coordinator for Pioneer Library System. "Our goal is to continue to keep the community apprised of progress on the new library project."
Completion of the new library facility is slated for mid- to late- 2011.
