MOORE — After almost two weeks off for most of the athletes in the moor School District, it’s now time to get back to work.
Wrestling
The Jaguars are at the Geary Tournament Friday and Saturday. Tuesday Westmoore and Yukon battle before the Mid-State Conference Tournament Jan. 12.
Moore, which traveled to Shreveport, LA. over the holiday break, will not take the mat again until Jan. 10 when it faces Enid at EHS. The Lions will also be at Mid-State.
Basketball
The Lions have not played a game since losing to Westmoore almost two weeks ago. Their first game out of the blocks is against Norman North at NNH. The girls take the court at 6:15 p.m. and boys at 7:45 p.m.
Next week the Lions host Edmond Memorial on Tuesday.
The Westmoore boys will face it’s toughest test of the season when host Midwest City Friday. The Bombers are the defending 6A state champions and ranked in the top-5 in the state.
It will not get any easier when the Jags travel to Del City Tuesday.
Swimming
The Moore swim team has not been in competition since Dec. 11. They get back into the pool almost a month later Tuesday at Oklahoma University. They will face Norman, Norman North and Broken Arrow. The meet starts at 5:30 p.m.
The Lions’ next home match is Jan. 17 against Stillwater.
