MOORE — With the beginning of school, comes the speed zones through town. With more than 30 schools in session, lowered speed zones are all over town.
The fine for speeding in a school zone in Moore is $219 and is strictly enforced.
More tickets are written at the beginning of the school season because people aren’t use to it yet, plus a lot of high schoolers leaving the schools,” said a city court official.
“Are biggest offenders are those it is supposed to protect,” they said.
