Cleveland honored for service with engineering board

Cleveland County Commissioner Rod Cleveland received recognition from the Circuit Engineering District 5 Board Monday for his service as secretary and treasurer.

The resolution, presented by Carol Kline, commended Cleveland for his leadership and service while representing not only Cleveland but Payne, Logan, Oklahoma, McClain, Garvin and Murray counties.

In other business, commissioners adopted the revised five-year plan for the use of county road, bridge and federal bridge replacement funds to send to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

They also added grading, draining and hard surfacing of certain streets within the city limits that continue onto county roads to the interlocal agreement with the city of Oklahoma City.

Commissioners recognized county roads that are part of the Citizen Potawatomie nations road in-ventory for use by tribal members.

February reports of David Tinsley, county assessor; Tammy Howard, county clerk; Rhonda Hall, court clerk; Shari Kinney, health department; and Saundra DeSelms, county treasurer; were accepted by the board.
