MOORE — Improve your interview skills: Those resolving to find a new, improved job in the new year are invited to a Moore Public Library workshop to give them a head start.

The library hosts “Improve Your Interview Skills,” a two-part workshop at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8 and 15, in Room A of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

Instructor Sunni Lambeth will teach several important techniques for having more successful job interviews. Participants are encouraged to attend both weeks of the workshop to get the most out of it.

Registration is required in advance to attend.

SOKC hosts Winter Read-a-Thon: The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library starts the New Year with a Winter Read-a-Thon, a family event set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the library, 2201 SW 134th St.

Participants can learn about the library’s new Winter Read program and enjoy snacks, crafts, games and a come-and-go story time. Activities are planned for the whole family.

Registration is not required to take part.

SOKC hosts classes on databases, computer skills: The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library offers a variety of monthly classes on various computer skills and offerings available through the Pioneer Library System.

Classes take place in the Computer Training Center of the library, 2201 SW 134th St., and are offered free of charge. Registration is required in advance, either at the library, by calling 979-2200 or online at www.justsoyouknow.us/sokc.
