MOORE — The Cleveland County Free Fair is Sept. 9 to 11 at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, 615 E. Robinson St., Norman.
“This year’s Cleveland County Free Fair will celebrate its 103rd year with a bang,” Cleveland County Fair Board President Wayne McPherson said. “Featuring an all-star entertainment line-up, livestock shows, exhibits, a petting zoo, pony rides, a carnival and midway, games, contests, great food and much more. This year’s fair is sure to be a huge, truly enjoyable event.”
Some of the entertainment includes Banana Seat, Justin Fox Band, Greystone Bluegrass Revival, Stones Throw Band, Miss Oklahoma Emoly West, Tropical Illusions Magic Show, Owen Pickard and Kelsie Wolf and Jaci Lane Dietrick.
The third annual baby crawling contest will be Friday and other children’s highlights include Per’s Farm Petting Zoo, a pedal pull competition and stick horse races.
This year the fair will be held Sept. 9-11, with entries being taken 3 to 9 p.m. Sept. 8.
The fair officially kicks off on Sept. 9 with the 10th annual Gospel Night, goat roping for the kids at 5 p.m., the petting zoo at 3 p.m. and the opening of the carnival and midway at 7 p.m.
Wrist bands will be featured at the carnival on Thursday and Friday allowing all to pay one price to ride all rides as often as they like from 7 to 11 p.m. both days.
Some of the additional fair highlights are the annual Celebrity Cow Milking Contest, the Canadian Rivers Old Iron Club Tractor Pull and Antique Tractor Show, pony rides, state and county pedal pull contests, livestock and poultry contests, 4-H, FFA, HCE exhibits, horse race, Best of Show contests, photography contests, scrapbook contests and many other events, contests, exhibits and entertainment.
Admission and parking will be free.
