MOORE — Runoffs turn into blow-outs
Cleveland County residents participating in the Republican runoff elections helped to decide a pair of races on Tuesday.
In the statewide race to face off against incumbent Kim Holland for the insurance commissioner's office, John Doak, 47, handled John P. Crawford, 78, easily, beating him by nearly 50,000 votes.
Statewide, Doak netted 71 percent of the vote compared with Crawford’s 29 percent.
District-wide, in the race to become state representative for House District 27, Josh Cockroft, 21, trounced opponent Richard Bennett, 52, by nearly 700 votes.
Cockroft captured 71.39 percent of the vote compared with Bennett's 28.61 percent.
