MOORE — Installation for several new components on the existing HVAC system at Moore Public Library is slated to begin Tuesday. The library, located at 225 S. Howard Ave., will be closed Tuesday through 17, with plans to resume operations at 9 a.m. Sept. 18.
“The City of Moore employees have done an outstanding job in keeping our aging heat and air system up and running during the extremely hot months of summer,” Moore Branch Librarian Lisa Wells said. “We have tried to lessen any negative impact for our community and customers by keeping the library open during summer vacation and our summer reading programs. It is just necessary to now implement this much needed repair. We thank our customers for their patience during this time and apologize for any inconvenience our closing may incur.”
No items will be due during Sept. 14-17 and items that have been requested by customers will have the hold date extended. Customers may return any items to the book-drop located in the circle drive, at the front of the library facing Howard Avenue or at the back of the library in the drive-up book drop.
The library’s regular programs in the children’s department have been canceled for those days.
“We are optimistic that the installation will go according to plan and the library will return to regular business hours on Sept. 18, open and available to everyone,” Wells said.
