A Cleveland County jury has acquitted a Moore man of six felony sex charges, according to court records.
Norman defense attorney David Smith said his client, Rayford Rico Bonner, 31, was cleared of all charges Feb. 12. Bonner was on trial for allegedly committing two counts each of first-degree rape by instrumentation, first-degree rape victim under 14 and lewd acts with a child.
Smith said jurors deliberated two hours before they returned the verdicts about 9:45 p.m. Feb. 12.
Court records show prosecutors filed the list of charges against Bonner Nov. 21, 2008 in district court. Assistant District Attorneys Susan Caswell and James Siderias prosecuted Bonner.
The trial took place Feb. 8-12 in District Judge Tom A. Lucas' courtroom. Smith said the alleged crimes involved one child on two occasions.
Smith said Judge Lucas released Bonner on a personal recognizance bond because Bonner awaits trial on two felony assault charges.
Court papers show Bonner allegedly assaulted two Cleveland County Detention Center officers in April 2009. A trial date has not been set.
