MOORE — Katharina Renee “Kat” Madrid, 37, of Midwest City, died Wednesday, Aug. 18. She was born July 18, 1973, in Oklahoma City. Kat had worked for the Oklahoma Tax Commission. She also was a licensed cosmetologist. Kat enjoyed roller derby and had played for the Red Dirt Rebellion Rollergirls.
She is survived by daughters, Zoe Madrid and Aundrea Madrid Green, both of Midwest City; her parents, Reymundo and Mary Madrid, of Midwest City; brothers, Reymundo Madrid Jr. and Jason Madrid, both of Oklahoma City; sister, Shana Smith and husband Kevin, of Midwest City; one niece; two nephews; and best friends, Trudy Hibbert and Earnest Green.
A funeral mass was held Aug. 23 at Little Flower Catholic Church, Oklahoma City, under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore.
A rosary was held Aug. 22 at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel.
