MOORE — Genivia May Huckleberry Jury, 81, was wrapped by the Lord’s arms and called home Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012. A three time cancer survivor, she lost her life after being diagnosed again just two weeks ago.
Services have concluded.
She was born July 21, 1930 to Austin and Dela Aldridge Huckleberry in Seminole.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years Clarence Jury, sisters Ida Sue Bell, Lois Daley and daughter Judy Wilson.
She is survived by sister Blanche Breatchel, daughter Kathie Linders and husband Rodney of Moore, son-in-law Larry Wilson of Moore, grandchildren Jeremy Wilson and wife Shannon of Moore, Lorie Hester and husband John of Yukon, Ryan Linders and wife Holly of North Richland Hills Texas, Timothy Wilson and wife Kristi of Moore. Great grandchildren Jaylea and Landry Wilson, Shyann, Daniel and Jacob Hester, Isabella and Jackson Linders, Gage and Abigail Wilson and special nephew Anthony Jury.
She graduated from Moore High School in 1948 and was a member of the Moore High School Alumni Association. In the 58 years of their marriage, she and Clarence enjoyed fishing, gardening, and sharing their lives with their family. She was active in her community, owning and operating Curly Top Beauty Shop and later bookkeeping for Capitol Trailers. She loved using her computer to research genealogy, knitting for family and friends, and cooking for anyone who might be hungry. She was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church in Norman until moving to Southwest Mansions in 2010. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and very special friend to the many that she touched in her 81 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Draper Park Christian Church in Genivia’s name.
