MOORE — Dixie Lee Hester, 64, of Norman lost her long, hard fight with a terminal illness Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. She was born Feb. 24, 1948.
There will be no viewing of the body. There will be a memorial service 6 p.m. Friday at John Ireland Funeral Home.
She preceded in death by her father, E.R. Johnson; her mother Clara Johnson; and sister Barbara Walls and her husband Charles Walls.
She is survived by three sisters and one brother, Mattie Bowling and husband Walter Bowling, Lee Ann Dunaway, Dana Johnson and Larry Graves; and three children Lora Hester, Shelby Hester and wife Pam Hester and Sarah Dodson and husband Joseph Dodson. She had six beautiful grandchildren, Chase Brown, Amanda Hester, Tanner Brown, Soda Hester, Classyn Brown and Sage Hester; one great-grandchild, Marley Jayden Brown; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, “John Henry.”
