MOORE — Billy Jim Massey was born on March 20, 1937, to Jim and Ethyl Massey in Lindsay, where he grew up.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore.
He was the only boy of seven children in his family. He was a member of the NRA and the American Legion, where he was involved in many activities. He enjoyed quail hunting and fishing, especially for bass and crappie. Billy enjoyed raising hunting dogs. He especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Joyce W. Massey; five sisters, Nina Dawn, Thelma, Helen, Margie and Lona Mae Massey; and one grandson, Jeffrey Kyle Massey.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicky Lynn Jolley; son, Greg Massey and wife Elisa; son, Jeff Massey and wife Heather; grandchildren Matt Hookom and wife Emily, Belle Hookom, Jasmine Massey, Jacob Massey, Sydney Massey, Kaylee Massey, Garrett Massey, Madison Rule and Jake Rule; sister, Norma Lee Bailey; and a host of other loving family members.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
