MOORE — John H. Moore, 89, of Moore and formerly of Ardmore, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Norman Veterans Center in Norman.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at Assumption Catholic Church.
John was born on Jan. 13, 1924, in Duncan.
John served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II. He retired as an engineer for Dresser / Halliburton.
He loved the outdoors, especially fishing at lakes Texoma and Murray. John was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ardmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Blanche Moore; wife, Patricia Moore; daughter, Pamela Moore; and four siblings, Carl, Glen, James and Helen.
Survivors include his sons John Phillip Moore and Kevin Moore; one sister, Margaret Moore; and numerous other loving family.
Burial with military honors was held in Duncan Municipal Cemetery in Duncan.
Services were by John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore.
