MOORE — McBeth Sample Jr., 72, died May 17, 2012. He was born March 27, 1940.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harrah United Methodist Church, 2224 N. Harrison Ave. in Harrah. Repass will be served in the dining hall after the service.

He was a long-time resident of the Moore area and is survived by his wife Eva, sons McBeth Sample III (wife Tracy), Shawnessy Sample (wife Lori) and Tray Sample (wife Chrissy) as well as daughter Janice Sample (Baker) (husband Michael), Washington, D.C., and  Janetta Sample (deceased). mother Marilyn Sample (OH), sister Beth Lynn Butler (husband Rick) as well as another sister and three brothers. Countless nieces and nephews and seven grandchildren.

McBeth was director of Alcohol and Drug Testing for the State of Oklahoma until his retirement in 2006. He also was a member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol from 1966-1986 and served in the Air Force and Army National Guard.
