MOORE — Terry J. Walker, 49, of Oklahoma City, went to be with her Heavenly Father after a lengthy illness on June 10, 2012.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Grace Place Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman. Services are by John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel of Moore.
Terry was born on Dec. 17, 1962, in Oklahoma City, to Arley McMillon and JoAnn (McMillon) Greene. She was a graduate of Moore High School, Class of 1981.
On Sept. 10, 1982, Terry married Daryl Walker. Together, they had two sons, Daniel Joe Walker, who was born in 1984, and Tyler Dale Walker, who was born in 1998.
Terry received her LPN from Moore-Norman Vo-Tech in 1987, and her RN at Rose State in 1991. Terry was passionate about being a nurse and worked tirelessly to help others.
After receiving her degrees, Terry worked at Norman Regional Hospital, Midwest Regional Hospital and the Oklahoma City Department of Human Resources.
Even though she loved her career, Terry was a devoted wife, mother and daughter. Her husband and two sons brought her great joy and many memories. Terry was a devoted Christian and attended church at Grace Place Baptist Church.
Terry was preceded in death by two sets of grandparents, Ernie and Faye Spillers, and Chester and Alma McMillon; uncle, David E. McMillon; and cousin, David E. McMillon Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Daryl Walker of the home in Oklahoma City; two sons, Daniel Joe Walker and Tyler Dale Walker, both of the home in Oklahoma City; her father, Arley McMillon and wife Ruth Ann of Yukon; her mother, JoAnn Greene and husband Jim of Oklahoma City; brother, Geary D. McMillon of Moore; sister, Brenda Hileman, of Oklahoma City; step-brothers, James Greene Jr. of Coweta, Mike Greene of Oklahoma City, and Chris Greene of Galloway, Ohio; step-sisters, Vicky Fonseco of Bristol, R.I., Mary McNamara of Delaware, Ohio and Nicolle Kollasch, of Flower Mound, Texas; aunt, Betty J. Jeffers of Oklahoma City; uncle, Jimmie McMillon of Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
