Michael Stafford, Norman North High School, Orchestra/Clarinet
Valerie Naranjo's percussion showcase was the other night, and it basically made these two weeks for me. It made me realize how much of a positive, inspiring energy is at Quartz. In a way, I'm a little envious of the art, photography, and writing students (who are amazing, by the way) because they can take advantage of this inspiring environment and create something beautiful. Being in the orchestra's been awesome, but I'm still a little jealous of the students that are creating their own art, rather than performing somebody else's. I'm not complaining, though, because this has probably been the best orchestral experience I've had so far.
