Area players take home awards

MOORE — With the prep football season winding down this week, postseason awards were announced last week. And several area players found themselves on multiple list.

Westmoore quarterback Jhames West was named the District 6A-2 Offensive Player of the Year while linebacker John Morgan was the CO-Defensive Player of the Year.

Joining West and Morgan on the 6A-2 all district team are Westmoore’s Austin Richards, John Finn, Zach Clark, Nick Hardaway, Addison Staggs and Solomon Vanover.

The All-Mid State Conerence team and the All City team were also released.(Go to page 7 to see the entire lists).
